Jumeirah Park Community Centre construction progress
14th March 2013
In December 2012 Naheel announced that the 10,600 square metres of space at the new community centre in Jumeirah Park had been fully leased. The future tenants included nearly thirty retail outlets and restaurants.
Parkway International Contracting was appointed as the main contractor for the community center with a reported AED 27.5 million contract. Construction is well underway and the estimated completion dat eis end of 2013 to early 2014. The Jumeirah Park community centre will definitely add to the attraction of the area by offering a place to meet, eat and socialise. New owners and tenants continue to occupy the villas on a weekly basis as the handover process is now in full swing.
Approximately a quarter of the community centre will be occupied by Geant supermarket. This is a key strategic move by Geant, as they aim to serve thousands of residents in Jumeirah Park and the surrounding communities such as Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Village and Emirates Living.
At the time of Nakheel's announcement, the confirmed retailers included Geant, Early Learning Centre, Holland and Barrett, Champion Cleaners, Nail Bar, Money Exchange, Bin Sina Pharmacy and many more.
Among the restaurants confirmed were Cafe de Roma, Subway, Pizzaro, Tim Hortons, Menchies, Burger Fuel, San Churro, Louis Pastries and Louis Cafe.
